In diesem musikalischen Projekt interpretiert der brasilianische Gitarrist Angelo da Silva die traditionelle brasilianische Musik völlig neu. Neu ist das auch für Musiker der Percussion-Formation Baturim.

Die Gruppe Baturim sieht ihre musikalischen Wurzeln in den Rhythmen des Rio-Samba – Vorbild sind die traditionellen Trommelgruppen beim Carneval in Rio. Der Name entstand aus den Worten Batucada und Tamborim – Instrumente, die dem Rio-Samba seinen typischen Sound verleihen.

Mit dieser Formation spielt Angelo da Silva ein Programm aus Eigenkompositionen sowie Werken von Ary Barroso, Milton Nascimento, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart und anderen Komponisten.

 Angelo da Silva in the guitar and Liz Pereira in the flute are “Angeliz”, an instrumental duo of Brazilian musicians that decided to join their passion for playing with their perfect “musical energy”. As a result of this combination “Angeliz” concert has songs from the best Brazilian composers, such as Egberto Gismonti, Ermeto Pascoal, Heitor Villa Lobos, Baden Powell, Tom Jobim, and others – and the best Choros composed by Pixinguinha, Jacob do Bandolim, Zequinha de Abreu and Waldir Azevedo. Each piece was specially arranged in a way to offer the audience different colors, rythms, effects, creativity, virtuosism and good feelings!
